Indoor Tanning
Did you know that in July of 2009, the World Health Organization's International Agency and Research on Cancer placed tanning beds and lamps on the list of radiation devices that cause cancer. Indoor tanning can cause skin cancer formation, especially melanoma, the most deadly type of skin cancer. It can also cause cataract formation and early photoaging.
Indoor tanning is especially harmful to persons under 20 years of age. In these individuals the lifetime risk of melanoma is increased by 75%! There is currently a move by dermatologists to push legislation banning access to indoor tanning for those younger than 18 years of age.
There is no such thing as "safe tanning beds", so protect your skin and stay away from tanning devices. Always use a good quality sunblock. The SkinCeuticals line of advanced skincare products is designed to prevent future damage, protect healthy skin and correct current damage. SkinCeutical's C E Ferulic is a great anti-oxidant for preventing skin cancer and in combination with one of Skinceutical's vast array of sunblocks to suit your needs, you will be protected. Visit www.SkinCeuticals.com for more information, or better yet, attend our SkinCeutical Educational Seminar hosted by their representative on Thursday, March 11th at 5PM.
